Partner booth with TGW in hall 5
The most incisive change was the move to exhibition hall 5, while the majority of mobile robot manufacturers remained in hall 6. Together with our partner, TGW Logistics Group, we planned and realized a joint booth. Both companies had their own booth space, but the design allowed for direct access to each other’s booth. Additionally, the new mobile robot SAFELOG XS1, which was introduced for the first time at LogiMAT, traveled on its demo route through both booths, serving as a demonstration object for discussions for both the TGW and SAFELOG teams. The shared space had other advantages as well. At our stand party on Wednesday, we were able to party with loud music on one side, while people were able to have a good chat with pleasant background music on the neighboring stand. The connecting element here was once again the longest bar at LogiMAT, which also extended over both stands and served as a shared catering area.
New partnerships were forged
For quite some time, we had been working on partnerships with various companies. As chance would have it, three contracts were signed directly during the LogiMAT period. The collaboration with Opteran Technologies was solidified a few days before the start of the fair. To draw immediate attention to the partnership, we quickly redesigned an exhibit display and invited the Opteran colleagues to our booth. Another partnership highlight is the collaboration with Stäubli AG, which we sealed directly at the fair. The announcement and contract signing took place at Stäubli’s booth. Additionally, we reached an agreement on cooperation with Gebrüder Schulte GmbH & Co KG, which we were able to announce on the last day of the fair. We will provide details about the contents of each agreement in another post.
Introduction of the SAFELOG XS1
As mentioned earlier, we also brought a new product to the fair. The mobile robot SAFELOG XS1 complements our portfolio as a compact mobile robot below the SAFELOG S3. The increasing demand for goods-to-person processes in small parts picking, for example, in the fulfillment sector, led to the development of this small runner. At LogiMAT, the XS1 was showcased as a moving exhibit, breaking through the barrier between the SAFELOG and TGW booths.
Successful fair
For SAFELOG, LogiMAT proved to be an exceptionally successful event once again this year, living up to its reputation as the leading trade fair in the logistics industry. We engaged in numerous high-level discussions with interested parties, some of which were already centered around concrete projects. The visitors came from a wide range of industries, were all extremely well informed and familiar with the subject matter. This reaffirmed the trend we had observed in previous years: that mobile robotics has firmly established itself in the market and is being accepted as an automation solution, integrated into planning processes. We are already looking forward to the discussions that will take place after the trade fair – and of course to LogiMAT 2025.
