Mobile transport robots are considered a key technology for future-proof intralogistics. In view of this development, SAFELOG and TGW Logistics Group have entered into a cooperation. Under the name Quba, SAFELOG’s various robot types complement the portfolio of the globally operating system integrator from Austria.

While mobile robots have been used for transport tasks in the automotive industry for a long time, they have only recently begun to appear in other industries. For its holistic door-to-door solutions, TGW was looking for a reliable AGV manufacturer to expand its portfolio. This partner was found in SAFELOG. The mobile transport robots can be used flexibly to transport a wide variety of goods and load carriers. As a quickly scalable and operationally reliable answer to the requirements of modern intralogistics, the AGV fleet from SAFELOG is an important component of TGW’s strategy in the field of mobile robotics.

Wide range of applications

The cooperation includes the project-related production and delivery of all AGV types from SAFELOG to TGW. Whether fashion and textile, food, industrial or consumer goods – TGW plans and implements highly automated, efficient and future-proof fulfillment centers. TGW’s complete solutions cover all intralogistics processes from incoming goods to storage, picking and packing to outgoing goods. The use of mobile transport robots for the automation of the underlying processes is becoming increasingly important.

High flexibility

The partnership between SAFELOG and TGW opens a new chapter. Mobile robots have become a proven technology for the mass market and are no longer considered a niche product. In addition, the integrated agent-based control software paired with TGW’s fleet management system enables the use of a few individual devices up to several hundred Quba robots. Furthermore, new devices can also be integrated into the system at short notice. The enormous flexibility and technical availability of the SAFELOG system manifests itself in high process stability.
