SEW-EURODRIVE and SAFELOG announced a strategic partnership at LogiMAT 2026. The two companies are jointly developing a high-performance software system for mobile and stationary intralogistics processes. This collaboration brings together SAFELOG’s software expertise in controlling intralogistics processes and SEW-EURODRIVE’s drive and automation know-how.

Strategic partnership for scalable intralogistics software

As part of the collaboration, SAFELOG will take on the role of software provider and further develop its existing system to meet specific requirements. SEW-EURODRIVE will continue to focus on developing mobile and stationary robots, as well as other automation solutions. These can be integrated into the software system in a modular and highly productive manner. SEW-EURODRIVE will then be able to market this as a standalone product, as part of a bundle with drive technology, or as an integrated solution. The Bruchsal-based family-owned company will also implement complete projects under the MAXOLUTION brand as a system integrator.

‘The goal of this partnership is to bring a new software system to market that sets new standards in the control of intralogistics processes, offering flexibility, scalability and consistent customisation to meet user requirements,’ emphasises Dr Hans Krattenmacher, Managing Director of Corporate Innovation Mechatronics (GME) at SEW-EURODRIVE. This enables both partners to capitalise on their strengths and reap the benefits of a forward-looking, collaborative approach. Michael Wolter, owner and managing director of Safelog, is also convinced of the collaboration’s added value: ‘We are combining our strengths to develop a state-of-the-art software system for the automation of the future. This enables us to provide customers with optimal solutions for both goods-to-person applications and traditional logistics processes.”

The solution is intended for deployment not only at customer sites, but also in SEW-EURODRIVE’s own facilities, step by step. There, it will demonstrate its potential in real-world operations. “Through this collaboration, we are taking a significant step towards a software-defined factory based on powerful mobile and stationary robots. At the same time, it draws on SEW-EURODRIVE’s MOVI-C automation kit, regardless of the application,” concludes Dr Hans Krattenmacher.
