Robotics ‘Made in Bavaria’

Today, SAFELOG is one of the leading providers of mobile robots and automation solutions for intralogistics in distribution and production. The medium-sized company has around 260 employees and develops and produces innovative software and robot technology „Made in Bavaria“, focusing clearly on quality, precise intralogistic processes and individual customer solutions.

Global challenges

In a company presentation, owner Michael Wolter outlined the current market situation: ‘Our industry is under considerable pressure from Asian competitors who operate with aggressive pricing and, for the most part, state subsidies. At the same time, the USA’s customs policy and international trade barriers are making access to important sales markets more difficult.’ Despite these challenges, the company continues to focus on sustainable growth through technological excellence, an extensive partner network, and strong customer loyalty.

During a tour of the company, the politicians learned about the production processes, the research and development projects and the role of skilled workers in the company. She was particularly impressed by the company’s innovative strength and the close integration of development and production on site.

Strengthening Bavaria as a business location

In a concluding discussion, the politician emphasized the importance of the medium-sized technology sector for Bavaria’s economic future. It became clear that Bavarian companies need reliable political framework conditions, investment in education and technology and the courage to break new ground in order to survive in global competition.

The visit underlined the need for constructive dialogue between politics and business in order to jointly secure the competitiveness of Bavarian SMEs in an increasingly globalized technology world.
