During a gala, SAFELOG GmbH received the Bayerischen Mittelstandspreis 2026. This places the company among the 15 award winners who successfully prevailed this year out of 213 applications.

The Bayerischer Mittelstandspreis was awarded for the 17th time and is one of the most prestigious awards for mid-sized companies in the Free State. The festive award ceremony took place at the Münchner Künstlerhaus. Representing the entire SAFELOG team, Christian Wolter and Mathias Behounek accepted the award from the hands of the Bavarian State Minister for Digital Affairs, Dr. Fabian Mehring.

The Bayerischer Mittelstandspreis, presented by the Europäischen Wirtschaftsforum e.V. in cooperation with the Hochschule für angewandtes Management, recognizes mid-sized companies that distinguish themselves through innovation, future readiness, resilience, sustainability, and responsible entrepreneurship.

“The Bayerischer Mittelstandspreis is a great honor for us. It confirms our commitment to developing innovative robotics and software solutions that provide real added value to our customers. Above all, however, this award is a recognition of the dedication and passion of our entire team. For this, we would like to thank the jury, our customers, our partners, and most especially all of our employees,” explained Christian Wolter, Managing Director of SAFELOG Holding GmbH, in his words of thanks.

Made in Bavaria – A Successful Model for 30 Years

For SAFELOG, this award holds special significance in the year of the company’s 30th anniversary. For three decades, the company has been developing mobile robotics and intelligent software solutions Made in Bavaria. Development and final assembly take place at the headquarters in Markt Schwaben, while control software, fleet management, and interfaces are developed entirely in-house. This combination of technological independence, hands-on engineering expertise, and long-term partnerships formed the foundation of the successful application.

In addition, SAFELOG impressed with its consistent focus on regional value creation, sustainable growth, and the commitment to developing robust and cost-effective automation solutions with real added value for customers.

Golden Bavaria for 3rd place

A special highlight of this year’s award ceremony was the Goldene Bavaria, which was presented for the first time. The new traveling trophy was awarded exclusively to the three top-ranked companies in the competition. Together with Evosys Laser GmbH (1st place) and Rapunzel Naturkost GmbH & Co. KG (2nd place), SAFELOG GmbH was honored as the third-placed company.

The award ceremony also featured another premiere: For the first time, the Roland-Berger-Zukunftspreis was awarded. The award went to the project “takerspace” of the Mittelschule Schnaittach, which was developed together with trend interior GmbH and the Schulamt Nürnberger Land. The special prize recognizes initiatives that make a sustainable contribution to the future of business and society through innovative ideas. The prize was personally presented by Prof. Dr. Dr. h. c. Roland Berger, founder of the international strategy consultancy Roland Berger.

In conclusion, the award is both a confirmation and an incentive for SAFELOG to resolutely continue on its chosen path, and to help shape the intralogistics of tomorrow with innovative robotics and software solutions.
